Wondering how to start your online business and which tools to use?
Over the next weeks, I will be sharing a series of bite-sized articles to help you get your project off the ground.
Look over my shoulder while I document how I launch a new brand.
I will use the lessons I learned these past years working with entrepreneurs in SiliconValley.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions because we are all unique individuals. You need a personal touch when crafting a personal brand that resonates with who you are.
Leverage my implementation to move forward on your own project. And adapt the action steps to your own constraints.
Be aware that finding a great fit between your offers and what your clients want might take some time.
Validating and improving your ideas is an iterative process.
This mini-series is not a “get rich quick” scheme. No, it’s about creating a solid foundation for your online business.
To spice up this experiment and to stretch my comfort zone, I will pick a topic that is not business-related.
My goal is to help you ditch your self-doubts and take action, one step at a time.
I want to show you that it’s doable, despite having little free time in a day.
Each article is a short read, allowing you to focus on the implementation part.
Ready to go from a vague idea to launching a brand you are proud of?
Let’s get started!
Your first mission
Your first mission, should you choose to accept it, is to stop what you are doing today and go out for a walk.
Wait… What?
I know. It sounds like an impossible mission because you have a pile of tasks to handle: a website to build, business cards to create, Facebook ads to run, etc.
However, before you show me your to-do list that is longer than your grocery list, I would like you to answer one question.
Are you crystal clear about the products and services you want to market?
If the answer is no, then save time and money. Pause your ads and let’s go for a walk.
Breathing some fresh air will not only be good for you, but will also stimulate your creativity.
You don’t have to go far away, walking around your neighborhood is just fine.

Get away from your laptop.
Take a look at the bigger picture for your business and clarify where you are heading to.
Launching a brand you are proud of is about finding your voice, your message, and a sustainable mission that excites you. And most importantly, it’s about connecting and serving your tribe.
If you were to open a restaurant, you wouldn’t open it without knowing what you want to offer, would you?
Opening a pizzeria, a donut shop, or a vegan restaurant will obviously attract different types of customers.
It’s the same thing with your online platform, before you spend money building your website, clarify:
- Who you want to serve
- What you will offer them
Your first answers don’t have to be perfect. They will provide you with a direction to get started.
This step will save you time and energy.
You need to be intentional with what you create. If not, you risk confusing your audience with random content and offers.
I don’t want you to spend time blogging without any clear plan. And then after a year, you give up because you end up getting no results from writing your articles.
What you create needs to be aligned with how you want to help your clients, as well as the problems they want to solve.
Keep taking action and you will improve your offers overtime.
By now, you are hopefully ready to grab your favorite walking shoes.
Think about what you would like to achieve with your brand.
Then, when you come back, share your ideas in the comment section below. Or share where you like to go to get fresh ideas for your projects.
In the next article, we will go deeper into how to find offers that your clients want.
Lessons:
- Lesson 1: How to launch your brand
- Lesson 2: Create offers your clients want
- Lesson 3: Get visible before you feel ready
